What is a GMFspecial ops?

GMF Special Ops is a ministry initiative of Global Ministries Fellowship which focuses on the facilitation and management of Disaster and Event "Crisis" relief services to those in our worldwide society who are destitute, hurting, and under extreme duress. GMF seeks to be a catalyst of relief leadership and development services in partnership with churches and agencies who share our desire to make a difference through these acts of charity centered on the gospel of Jesus Christ.

 

Example of Special Ops 

Tsunami Relief

In January 2005, GMF led the mobilization and coordination of over 300 individuals and 39 churches in disaster relief and reconstruction efforts on the island of Sumatra, Indonesia. Prior to the earthquate and tsunami of December 2004, this region of the world was closed to any Christian witness. Today as a result of these special operation efforts and investment of over $1,000,000 in this project, lives have been changed as many have heard the gospel and responded to the claims of Jesus Christ.

In times of human crisis, whether precipitated by natural disasters, economic uncertainty and implosion, or rampant disease dissemination, the health and safety needs of people around the globe must become a major priority through coordinated relief efforts. Today, GMF continues to work in strategic parts of this world by meeting physical and spiritual needs of people groups all over this globe.
